I did a whole new site for the umbrella, sidequery.dev

mdnb.app & pynb.app got new icons 💅

I built a free, 100% native (for macOS) markdown editor. You can download it here

I've been using Claude Code since May & use Codex actively. Here's some of my thoughts on software engineering with AI

I forked everyone's favorite terminal, Ghostty, and added git worktree support so to better manage parallel AI agents

pynb was featured by tldr today!
January 27, 2026 at 3:11 AM
Ghostty is now natively integrated into pynb.app

Another day, another release. pynb.app just got native connectivity for Postgres, Snowflake, Bigquery, SQLite & Flight SQL via ADBC (so it's fast and memory efficient)

You can try this out now!

I was wondering where all the stars were coming from thanks for the shoutout!
Wow this is going to be useful to debug past AI sessions 🔍

I built an alternative Jupyter frontend as a native Mac app. It's also reactive (no weird state issues), supports SQL as first class, has autocomplete, is uv-native amd works with agents (like an *existing* ChatGPT subscription that you already pay for)

Hi data friends that manage data pipelines & like Apache Iceberg— please take a look at my dlt destination for Iceberg that supports REST catalogs.

Got some updates so it has full parity with the paid dlthub connector!

I've been working on a universal metrics layer for @sidequery.dev the past few months that works with many different semantic layer formats.

I built a demo so you can try it out. Runs 100% in the browser (via DuckDB & Pyodide). Warning large download !

Now includes an instructions improver skill that lets your agent of choice search through your past transcripts to correct common failures & reinforce wins
The other is a tool called memex that indexes chat transcripts locally and provides a search function, both in CLI form for agents and as a TUI for humans.

My favorite part: makes it super easy to find and resume a long lost session.

Lots of improvements to this one... dark mode, gist backend, homebrew support for installation.

brew install nicosuave/tap/agentexport
I built a few tools to make working with Claude Code / Codex CLI easier

First up is agentexports.com which lets you publish transcripts to the web. Content is end to end encrypted (I can't even read it) and you can self host on Cloudflare if preferred.

I find Claude Code pretty effective to help with data analysis. But it's not easy for everyone to setup and manage & has no collaborative capabilities.

So I built it into a Slack app.

I've been working on a universal semantic layer.

It's still a bit early but I'm really excited about its future. Will also be tightly woven into @sidequery.dev

Compatible with definitions from Cube, MetricFlow (dbt), LookML (Looker), Hex, Rill, Superset, Omni & there's a native definition format.
