💥 Unbelievably proud - today we launch Pathways to Hope, a comic co-created with the lived experience community, medical students & doctors.

Based on the graphic notes created at conversation cafés, refined & co-produced with research participants with lived experience to shape the final comic.
New public information comic aims to build understanding and reduce the stigma around drug and alcohol dependence.

'Pathways of Hope' was co-created with the recovery community, medical students and doctors.

Was so inspiring hearing and visually capturing the stories from people in the recovery community today. They spoke to medical students about their pathways through addiction, health care and help seeking. Thrilled to be co-creating a Public Information Comic on this theme @uofgshw.bsky.social

Oh these are good! My first encounter with @drhelenkara.bsky.social 'sofa videos' and they are perfect. The first introduces us to phenomenology and ends with a link to the Muppets! Entertaining and educational :) youtu.be/cVGAxMo-kiw?...

Last week's @ncrm.ac.uk creative research methods course with @drhelenkara.bsky.social we explored using comics and animation in research - what a great session! I shared my use of Lynda Barry's 'Draw yourself as Batman' activity as an icebreaker in community groups. Such a fun way to engage :)

Wonderful collection from PIMA. My paper celebrates the power of women creating art collectively to change our environments and transform perceptions of self. @saywomen.bsky.social we named, reframed and challenged misogynic phrases through printmaking and a zine. www.pimanetwork.com/bulletin-52-...
