We can see the difference between incoherent and coherent light (light bulbs vs. lasers) from these photos i took in the lab. Incoherent light is messy, it scatters and goes everywhere so the crystal glows. I adjust the laser so this doesn't happen and i see light's path *through* the crystal!!

Check this out, it's an optical fibre that's glowing thanks to the green laser light passing through it.
