Food stamps will stop in America by the end of October! This means up to 42 million low income American households will not be able to pay for essential food and other basic needs, this is the reality of the Shutdown
States have been told not to send transmissions to state EBT vendors by end of October.

This means SNAP benefits would not be distributed to anyone who qualifies.

I know my state and many others are reaching out for further guidance. This would send 40+ million Americans into food insecurity.

The Minister of Finance and the Treasury released its Half Year Economic and Fiscal Update today, and with it – its ‘plan’ for the Budget in 2025 in the Budget Policy Statement. The indicators show very clearly that it’s not working for anyone. A long thread (apologies) #nzpol
