I wish @github.com would focus more on GitHub and less on Copilot.

AI Only works when the tools work.

Nothing like starting off the day with a flight delayed 3 hours.

Anyway, heading to NYC for the week!

AI now pens 99% of my code. No novelty in that.

What's truly startling is how increasingly, my work conversations are with AI rather than people.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

A masked federal force is killing people and lying about it on camera. The whole country should be unified against this. Instead we’re arguing about whether it’s actually happening.

I don’t know how to process that.

Anecdotal, but every AI skeptic I know has been allowed access to Copilot in any of its forms at work.

Businesses who only allow their devs use Copilot are going to be left behind.

IT'S FINE. I'M FINE.

This Skill I made is an absolute work horse! I dictate a direction I want to go. It organizes my thoughts and asks questions until it has > 95% confidence it understands what I actually want and how to implement it. Then it creates the specs and goes. Give it a try! github.com/nicknisi/cla...

I wasn't asking Claude Code for career advice but in the process of asking about TUIs it gave me this little gem:

"You're the architect now, not the bricklayer. Your job is knowing what good looks like and steering toward it."

I might be biased, but I just implemented CLI auth for the first time, and it was so easy with WorkOS!

Yes, very thoroughly but I don’t write code by hand so much anymore.

My beautiful vim setup is a glorified markdown reader now.

I love Claude Code but our jobs are safe for a while since even it can't figure out how to update itself.

Today was my 1 year anniversary at WorkOS! It’s been a wonderful year of challenges and fun and I’m really looking forward to what we’re doing in 2026!
