Can we imagine a future in which everyone can use their own language to write, assess & read science with the help of AI? Read this to see why we believe this is the future of academic publishing. Great collab with @bowkerl.bsky.social & Andrew Burton-Jones. #languagebarriers

Presented a poster today at a Dana-Farber symposium. I was asked by three people whether I am a PhD student. Glad to know I haven’t outwardly aged too much over the past decade.

I am proud to share that after several years of on-again, off-again effort, I have finally finished Marcel Proust's 'In Search of Lost Time' (translation by Moncrieff and Kilmartin). It was one of the most incredible novels I have read, as well as one of the most difficult.

I am pleased to share our latest preprint. In this work we show that the ubiquitin-binding domain of Pol eta interacts with NEDD8, and that this interaction is required for Pol eta mono-NEDDylation. Looking forward to having this work published-published. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
DNA polymerase η is regulated by mutually exclusive mono-ubiquitination and mono-NEDDylation
DNA polymerase eta (Pol η) is a Y-family translesion polymerase responsible for synthesizing new DNA across UV-damaged templates. It is recruited to replication forks following mono-ubiquitination of ...
