“Does this enlarge me or diminish me?”
As a therapist, I loved this question and as a designer, we owe it to people to ask this in our work and to include their voices when we do.
That’s why I loved to see Material 3 Expressive was Google’s most researched update.

A professor once told me they built a voice assistant for banking. It worked perfectly, but no one used it. Research said people felt banking was too personal for voice.

You don’t have to be the best designer to make something that matters. You just have to be you.
Wrote a short thing about curiosity, weird ideas, and why being yourself beats chasing perfection.

While doing some research for a comic style exhibit, I am blown away with how cool some of these motion comics are on YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLdq...

wrote up some thoughts on how our interfaces are getting flatter, and how we might design with 💃 our bodies 🤸 in mind.

Super rad article by @carlyayres.com as I am thinking more about how I want to share my work, I keep coming back to storytelling. Love the stamp like font throughout this!

Timelapse of me ‘breaking apart’ a bottle I illustrated for a museum exhibit!
This bottle was discovered on a sunken Revolutionary War-era ship. Archaeologists found its fragments scattered and carefully pieced them back together. #Procreate #ExhibitDesign #Illustration

Sometimes I have to design something “wrong” just to know why it doesn’t work. I usually find that can learn a lot by “messing up”, if I have the time to.

PSA to pick your stylist up every now and then when digitally painting 😅
I was drawing this old bowl for an exhibit in #procreate and I can’t tell you how many times I was texturing, did something weird and when I went to undo lost so much of the texture I liked. Still turned out okay!

One of my first animations I made back in 2020 based on Night in the Woods. Amazing art style and story! Hugely inspirational to me and part of the reason I wanted to change careers to design… and play bass haha Sending some good vibes to @bombsfall.bsky.social #nightinthewoods #animation #procreate

Been doing some more motion and wireframing lately and I love it. Here is a prototype of a completion animation after the visitor completes a bottle puzzle 🧩 🧑🔧 #motiondesign #figma #exhibitdesign #illustration

Couple of object drawings that are a part of an exhibit on an old ship. The plate took me a week and my feedback was that it was too detailed! Neat! 😑😅 reminder to get detailed client instructions haha #art #procreate #illustration #graphicdesign #exhbitdesign
