In these last years of the scowling Trump domination, I’ve been missing the smiling Jimmy Carter. Just knowing America had been worthy of Jimmy for over 100 years made me feel reassured.

If Trump really wants nothing more to do with states who didn’t vote for him, he should allow these states to have their own president and their own treasury in which their taxes can be collected and used for their intended purposes.

New laws against masked ICE arrests will surely not pit armed conflicts between police and I CE, but they should render masked iCE arrests as illegal now in courts similar to Miranda violations.
