Loook I know writers have to market their books and because of that, potential readers will comment and that’s lovely, but if someone asks me “is there spice?” I might just have to sigh deeply because yes hon always. For me at least as a writer. Don’t ever assume I’m not a lover girl.

I’m not gonna lieeee, at 27 I feel like I should have had an agent by now or a book deal or having multiple books out or simply being spectacular and having a spectacular life.

And yes I am aware that is being too hard on myself and not at all nice.

Sometimes it feels like there’s no right way to write a query letter because you can have critique groups, agented authors look over it, get fulls, go into pitch events, and while some will say it’s solid others will say…nah, fix it. So now it’s looking like it’s time to cry

I don’t necessarily agree with the whole “romance books shouldn’t have cartoon covers” thing because some are really cute and very pretty. I adore them. But I will say as a romance writer, I’d love for my covers to have the best artist ever a romance writer can dream up.
