It’s the time of year for these adorable creatures to start arriving on our coastline in the UK! This will be the first year in many I can’t photograph these cuties as they don’t exist in in Canada!

Red-winged Blackbird🐦⬛
I waited a while for this striking bird to land on a perch which placed the towering Nch’kay (Atwell Peak) of the Garibaldi range right in the background of the shot. It turned out beautifully!

Bald Eagle Fractus☁️
This bald eagle is abit of an oddity with its bright yellow bill, but brown head feathers. It makes the bird look a little bit like a white-tailed eagle. Of course, on the Pacific Northwest this isn’t the case!
The clouds are known as fractus.

Porteau Cove🏝️
Spent the morning at Porteau Cove watching birds and checking out the marine life! The water of the sound is so clear that you can see the sea lions swimming in the water below! Super cool. Two hours with the dolphins made the day!🐬

Moss Forest🌿
This was an amazing thing to see, a fallen log covered in this splendid moss. These here are the capsule tipped sporophytes of the moss which contain spores for reproduction.
I'm no moss expert but I think this is a moss in the Hypnum genus.
