Re-introducing team one-sheets!
I've talked to newer players; I'm re-focusing these on accessibility: no shadows, no XLs, few if any legacy moves.
This is based on speculative stats for the new season - but I want people to be able to work towards it.
Play Rookidee Community Day!
Team map featuring Corviknight, Altaria, Araquanid, Gastrodon, Steelix, and Dedenne. It shows Corviknight + Gastrodon; Altaria + Steelix; and Dedenne + Araquanid as strong cores of the team and presents fallback lines of 3 of Gastrodon/Altaria/Corviknight and Araquanid/Dedenne/Steelix. In these Gastrodon and Araquanid are labeled as the respective lead Pokémon and Corviknight and Steelix are labeled as the respective pivot Pokémon. These are presented as follows: Araquanid could be substituted for Golisopod Altaria could be substituted for Shadow Dragonite Gastrodon could be substituted for either Shadow Quagsire or Swampert Dedenne and Steelix could be substituted for Unovan Stunfisk and Tinkaton

This format looks back at the last 3 years of Competitive Pokemon Go. For each slot chose 1 Pokemon that represents a competitive season from 2025, 2024, 2023, and All Stars that have been strong meta picks for multiple seasons. For the final 2 slots chose any Pokemon not appearing in any of the previous categories. Trainers will play through a swiss bracket, with the fiercest competitors moving into a single elimination top cut.

Mainly sharing bc I've heard enough people say I'm gone for good or ask when I'll be back.
Excited for next year 🤠💚
Notes reading: So it's been interesting taking a year off. There have been a multitude of reasons for that, mostly financial (finally beat the job market in game 5), but some of the others have lessened as well. I feel loved by the community again, GO Fest was actually really big in that regard. Therapy has helped me drown out antagonists, as much as that's taken longer than I'd like. I've felt a lot of guilt this year about how few women we've had performing well at events, qualifying for worlds, etc. I'm incredibly proud of those who have, and I'm excited to watch them all compete in Anaheim, I'm just also recognizing that I was doing more for representation than I ever thought I was. And that's very affirming but also scary to see disappear. I am kind of two minds about it all, as some could expect given my experiences. Notes reading: I'm torn about next season. I have spent this year getting *really* good at the TCG. Like I genuinely believe I could spike a respectable day 2 result if my hands are running hot. And completing the trifecta of Liquipedia + Limitless Pages across the 3 games would be very funny and very satisfying. That's also a game where if I went to many events, trained harder, and optimized my season I think I could possibly make a run at worlds. And that is enticing. It's been really fun trying and learning something again from 0. And the TCG community doesn't have any of the established history, antagonists who know me, or bittersweet connections with former friends. Im a relative nobody with some cool friends, and that's freeing but also a double-edged sword. It is notably not my game. Yet. Notes reading: I think my plan is to GO hard until I'm firmly in invite range (or spike a win) and then enjoy TCG on the latter half. A bit haughty of me to say I can do, but also anyone who's seen me tap a phone knows that I absolutely have earned the right to be that confident. I doubt I travel award chase unless I *really* like the meta, and unless we get a reversion to the Surf nerf I doubt that's happening. Also that. Another reason I've been meh about GO: I don't know how much I enjoy OGL now that Fini is effectively unplayable. For all the "branding" there, the Pokémon is just really fun to play. But there are other fluid mid-bulk mons, I'll find something. Happy to hear suggestions there :3 As always, love y'all, and would always love to hear thoughts. Introspection tough. I'm excited to be back in the saddle 💚
