Neil C Duff's Free Renaissance style commercial building of 1901 looks even more impressive when set against its modern neighbours. Built for George Miller, and first occupied by the Carsewell Fishing Gut Company, it was converted to housing in 2003.

St Vincent Street Church in the city centre was designed by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson for the United Presbyterian Church in 1859. The building was in use as a place of worship until 2021.

In his lecture photographer Chris draws haunting visual parallels between the war-ravaged cityscapes of Sarajevo in the mid-1990s and the neglected high-rise estates of Glasgow in the early 21st century.
