Made from locally foraged green walnuts, this traditional Italian liqueur is typically sipped after large meals. While we love it on ice with an orange twist, the earthy, nutty flavor of this liqueur also makes it a great cocktail ingredient. Stop by or visit newdealdistillery.com to learn more!

Recipe for Spiced Pear Hot Toddy: Richly spiced and delightfully aromatic, our Spiced Pear Liqueur is absolutely perfect in a hot toddy. 2 oz Spiced Pear Liqueur (or split the base with Bourbon or Brandy) hot water 1 squeeze of lemon 1 barspoon honey 1 cinnamon stick or clove studded lemon for garnish Combine all ingredients in a mug and stir with hot water. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or clove studded lemon.

Surely Willy Wonka would have loved to sip this cocktail after a long day at work and we think you will too. 1 oz Mud Puddle Bitter Chocolate Vodka 1 oz Distiller’s Reserve Bourbon 1 bar spoon simple syrup 1 dashes Angostura bitters 1 orange peel for garnish Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into an old fashioned glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with an orange peel.

Hosting this halloween? Whip up a batch of Mulled Apple Cider for your guests. Perfect for warming up after trick-or-treating, corn maze navigating, and other outdoor fall activities!
Photo of mulled apple cider in glass mugs Recipe for Mulled Apple Cider: Try our Mulled Apple Cider for delicious fall treat that’s sure to warm you up! 1 quart apple cider 1/2 an orange sliced into 1/2 inch orange wheels 7 cinnamon sticks 1 tbsp brown sugar 4 whole cloves 2 whole allspice berries 1 1/2 oz Distiller’s Workshop Brandy or New Deal Pear Brandy, per mug Combine all ingredients besides brandy in a pot and heat on low for at least an hour. This recipe will make about 5 servings. To serve, add 1 1/2 oz Distiller’s Workshop Brandy to a mug or tempered glass. Top with mulled cider and garnish with steeped cinnamon sticks or orange. Note: Mulled apple ciders are fun and easy to make your own! Experiment with adding more or less citrus, sugar, and baking spices depending on what flavors are your favorite. If you’d like to try this with another spirit we recommend our Distiller’s Reserve Bourbon.

Photo of Van Helsing Cocktail: a roasted garlic martini riff Recipe for Van Helsing Cocktail: This roasted garlic cocktail made with savory Gin No. 1 will definitely keep the vampires away! 2.5 oz New Deal Gin No. 1 1 scant bar spoon simple syrup dry vermouth 4 cloves roasted garlic 1 olive, for garnish Muddle three cloves of roasted garlic in a crystal mixing glass. Add a scant bar spoon of simple syrup for a softer garlic flavor. Add Gin No. 1 and stir with ice for at least 10 seconds. Rinse a chilled coupe glass with dry vermouth, then discard. Strain cocktail into the glass and garnish with additional roasted garlic and an olive. Roasted Garlic: Pre-Heat oven to 400. Peel away any loose paper and cut the top of the garlic head to expose the top of cloves. Drizzle with olive oil. Allowing the oil to sink down between the cloves. Wrap garlic completely with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. If roasting multiple heads, wrap each individually.

Try this frightfully delicious coffee and vanilla cocktail!
Image of cocktail called "Grave Digger" in autumnal setting Recipe for Grave Digger cocktail: This decadent Halloween cocktail is scary good! 1 1/2 oz Vanilla infused Distiller’s Workshop Brandy 3/4 oz New Deal Coffee Liqueur 1/2 oz Orange Liqueur 1 oz espresso whipped cream and cocoa powder, for garnish Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with whipped cream and cocoa powder, if you dare. Vanilla-infused Brandy: Cut 2 fresh vanilla pods lengthwise and place into a 750 mL bottle of Distiller’s Workshop Brandy. Let sit for 3 to 5 days, shaking occasionally. Strain out pods and store.

Try this super easy Pumpkin Spice White Russian for a scary good seasonal dessert cocktail 🎃
Picture of Pumpkin Spice White Russian cocktail Recipe for Pumpkin Spice White Russian: 1 1/2 oz Portland 90 Vodka 1 1/2 oz New Deal Coffee Liqueur Generous splash of Pumpkin Spice creamer Pumpkin Spice rim* (optional) Whipped cream (optional) Pour vodka and coffee liqueur into an old fashioned glass rimmed with pumpkin spice and filled with ice. Top with a generous splash of pumpkin spice creamer. If using, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice. *For the rim: Combine 1 tsp pumpkin spice, 1 tsp sugar, and 3 tsp graham cracker crumbs. Stir well. Dip the rim of your glass in water, then dip the rim in the pumpkin spice mixture.
