Sometimes I shop for people based on what I'd want, because I think they'd love these things that really interest me. And if they don't want them, I guess I can hold onto them, no problem.
Anita the mushroom and Alice the mushroom meet up inside their home that's an empty tissue box. Anita holds out a nicely wrapped gift and says, "Alice, I got this for you!" Alice is delighted and says, "Aww! You're so nice, Anita!" Not to be outdone, Alice holds out and even fancier box, "I got something for you too!" Anita is in mild but excited shock. Opening both presents, each reacts with great excitement. Anita holds up a bright pink ladybug helper bot. "It's exactly what I wanted!" she exclaims happily. Meanwhile, a violet tentacle tailed bird with a hooked beak and half a dozen eyes flies around Alice's face, shooting black ink into her eye and squawks at her. With difficulty, she says back, "Wow! You shouldn't have!" A delivery truck rolls away in the distance through the snowy outdoors as seen from the window behind them.

Possibly exactly a true story. Really happy I got to give them a present on their birthday though! People with Christmas/birthdays deserve a present for each.
Jenny the bokchoy and Peatrice the pea are shopping at the mall, each carrying a heavy shopping bag. Peatrice asks, "Got all your gifts?" Jenny checks and nods, "I think so. Early too!" A small blue mushroom approaches happily. Jenny waves and says, "Oh, hey Alice! What's up?" Alice the mushroom replies, "It's my birthday!" A slight shock runs through Jenny. "Today?!" Oblivious to Jenny's concern, Alice nods cheerfully, "Yep!" In quick desperation, Jenny rummages through her bag and finds something cute. "Wow, wouldn't you know it? I have your present right here!" Alice, genuinely surprised, exclaims, "Really? Thank you, Jenny!" While Alice is carrying the large stuffed animal away, Peatrice leans in to Jenny to quietly ask, "Do we need to go shopping again?" Jenny nods hurriedly, "We need to go shopping again."

We've got bunnies roaming our snowy backyard from time to time. If I could train a bunny to use the facilities, it would be very tempting to welcome them into civilisation. I still have an open spot on my Netflix account for it.
Little Turtle watches from the living room window a bunny in the snowy backyard. A fallen bicycle can be seen in the background with two blades of light arcing around it. He calls out excitedly, "Mom, look! THERE'S A BUNNY IN OUR YARD!" Viewed from the inside now, Little Turtle asks, "Can we keep it, please?" Shaking her head, mommy turtle says "No, sweetie. It's a wild animal. It wouldn't be happy being trapped indoors. You understand, right?" Slumping down onto the sofa, Little Turtle nods sadly, "I guess." During this conversation, we can see the bunny through the window outside, followed a bit later by daddy turtle sneaking up on it with a large cardboard box and a carrot on a stick to lure it in. The bunny shifts nervously, sensing the seismic approach of the towering turtle father.

I'm probably getting a bunch of stuff wrong in this one. I did have to revise it a few times. Agent Rex is in the hallway, outside the effect range, due to the hallway lighting.
In a secluded room, Dr. Virginia mushroom, standing on her hover platform in front of a dimly glowing lamp with a flung switch, announces: "I've done it! We can now travel faster than the speed of light!" Agent Rex looks in from the hallway and notes that the ship isn't moving at all. The sound of Dr. Virginia's hover platform humming emerges from the left side of the room as she notes, "Not the ship! Us! I massively slowed down the light in this lamp." The illumination of the room is very slowly expanding around the lamp. Agent Rex notes, "That explains the shadows." Dr. Virginia, now appearing to have moved to the left of the room, speaks with her voice coming from the right now, "Try walking across the room! Maybe use echolocation instead of vision though." The view of space lays outside a window behind Agent Rex and a Saurian emblem covers the near wall.

I feel like this would land more as a parody movie, with repeated situations and scenes that could go absolutely bonkers bad, but they don't and everything's fine.
Alice, Tommy, and Angela the mushrooms are exiting a movie after having watched the post-apocalyptic movie: "It Falls", with a poster in the background featuring a building breaking over. Alice bemoans how all movies seem to be dreary post-apocalyptic movies. Why can't there be pre-apocalyptic movies? The scene shifts to her imagination, featuring a happy couple. The stay-at-home mushroom asks, "How was work today at the mine?" as they work on something on their tablet. Their furry Globnox can be seen climbing the climbing bar by the door, waiting for a treat, because the stay-at-home mushroom is stingy with the treats, but the working-mushroom doesn't pay attention and won't hesitate to feed it if it makes enough sufficiently annoying sounds, which are slightly painful and unnatural to produce, but whatever gets the candies flowing. The working-mushroom with a round suitcase and 1920's hat says, "Great! The robots pull in twice their quota! We're more rich!" Continuing, "Even better, they're towing the asteroid into orbit to cut delivery times by a thousand!" A shot of a giant asteroid being towed by three drone ships with a mining platform on top is shown, deep in space somewhere. A final frame with no background and only an overly commercial happy mushroom with an "A-OK!" badge on, reads: Two months later. The asteroid was brought into a stable orbit and nothing unexpected happened. Fabulously livable wages for everyone!

I really did enjoy that first heavy snowfall of the year. Unexpectedly early, too! Winter gives me a huge sense of comfort, coziness, and safety. But also creativity, for some reason! I guess because you have to be creative to survive the random landscape it throws at you.
Mother turtle looks out the window at her backyard getting very snowy at the start of the winter season. Her son is kneeling down outside doing something. Outside, Mom and Dad listen to Little Turtle proudly show off his tiny 8cm tall snowman. "It took me half an hour to gather enough snow!" Daddy turtle nods, smiling. "Somebody's impatient for winter." Suddenly, Little Turtle hurls a very tiny snowball at Daddy turtle. "Haha! MINI SNOWBALL FIGHT!", he exclaims. Daddy turtle starts running. Off in the distance, Neighbour Turtle is shaking his shovel at the sky in joy.

It's Thanksgiving today! But I'd already got this idea for the turtle comic, so we're going with that. They celebrated turtle Thanksgiving so many times before.
The turtle family is visiting a large Halloween store, full of life-sized animatronics with activation pads on the floor. Little Turtle coaxes his mom to stand in front of a scary shanty turtle zombie. "Mom! Stand here!" he says. "Why? Nothing scary's going to happen, is it?" She turns to look at the zombie, recoiling at the features. "Eiw! She looks very unsettling." Little Turtle stamps on the activation pad near the zombie, giggling with glee. "Look closer!" he says. Daddy turtle notices a spider animatronic near him suddenly lights up and he leans down to look at it. A moment later, the spider leaps out of the display and into Daddy turtle, knocking him into next week. Mommy turtle looks around and smiles, "Oh, that's fun!" Little Turtle keeps stamping on the activation pad, not noticing it was for the spider. Faint beams of light shimmer near the ceiling.

Eeeeiw, I'm mildly sick. Sometimes I wonder if interacting with other humans is really worth it. Then I remember it's October and somehow 31 degrees outside, which is bonkers.
Specialist Yarn sneezes loudly in a corridor. Behind him, Specialist Kite is seen handling some kind of electrical cable and notes, "Oh, dear! Coming down with something, Yarn?" Sniffling and holding tissues, he says, "Just a bit of a cold." Yarn nods, "Have some soup, you'll feel better in no time." Kite plugs in a floating orb with several antennae around the top. Turning away with a bit more cheer, Yarn picks up a containment jar with a scary little tendril sprouting tentacle thing and says, "I think I caught it in that weird swamp we were collecting samples in." With a deft slap on a big red button, Kite engages an emergency lock down, bringing a huge transparent wall down between her and Yarn. "LOCK DOWN IN SECTION 12!" A shadow spills out from what previously a closed metal iris door near the floor. Probably not related to anything going on here.

I've often struggled with this during the Steam sales. Something I've wishlisted pops up at 75% off, super cheap... but I still hesitate to pull the trigger. Yet that very same day I spent five times as much on lunch. It makes no sense!
Casper the octopus (not to be confused with the younger Gerald who looks identical except for a higher eye size to body ratio) and Logan the potato are eating at a fast food restaurant. Casper holds his burger and revels in how good it is. Prices on the menu show things as being between $16 to $18. Logan lifts a fork with a french fry covered in gravy and cheese from his poutine and says, "Totally worth it!" Later, the two return home and Casper pops onto his computer to check the game sales. "Game time?" Logan asks. "Bummer, my game isn't on sale," says Casper. Looking over his shoulder, as much as that's possible for an octopus, Logan notes, "It's only $10." Sighing, Casper replies, "But last month it was 75% off." Frowning, Logan asks, "Why didn't you buy it then?" Looking defensive, Casper says, "That seemed like a lot of money." "That's $2.50. Your hamburger was $18.50," counters Logan. "And?" asks Casper. With mild frustration, Logan exclaims, "Skip the cheese and bacon next time!" A very awesome poster of fanart from the Kingdom Eighties video game, done by Casper's favourite artist "Never Dot", appears on the wall behind him.

I'm taking recommendations for very happy, uplifting, cheerful shows right now. The current one scores a -15/10 on that scale, so it's doing great! Can't wait for more.
Anita the mushroom excitedly asks Jenny the bokchoy whether or not she's finished the show she told her about. Jenny notes that she's reached the bit where they meet a talking deer. Suddenly wrought with sadness, Anita exclaims, "Oh my, that part is SO SAD!" Concerned, Jenny asks, "Wait, why? Does something happen to the deer?!" Shaking her tiny hallucinogenic head, Anita says, "No! That's why it's sad." Jenny looks confused. "I don't get it." Handing her a box of tissues, Anita says, "Here's a box of tissues, you're going to need it all." Jenny holds a phone device in her hands which we assume she's been watching the show on, but the artist fails to maintain the dimensions of the phone between frames, so it becomes more of a tablet as the comic progresses. The source of the tissue box is also very suspect, as they are in a forest with a lone dragon creeping around being all mysterious, checking the trees for candy as they are wont to do.

I had grand ambitions today of exercising for the first time in my life. Intentionally. And for more than a brief period of time. But that cold hard reality that each of these things costs a small fortune and you'd probably need a bunch of them... yikes!
Daddy turtle is at an athletics shop talking to a sales turtle wearing a tie, standing beside a barbell weight set of 8 weights. "Hi, how much for these weights?" asks Daddy turtle. "That would be about $100," replies the sales turtle amicably. Assessing the set of weights, Daddy turtle says, "That's not too bad for the set." The sales turtle frowns and leans in cautiously, "That's per weight, sir." Hope dies within Daddy turtle, and he mutters a lacklustre, "Ah." Back at home, Little Turtle is straining to lift two very large water bottles hung onto a broom. "Daddy, aren't these just water bottles?" he asks. Daddy turtle appears to be hefting a bag of smaller water bottles in each hand. "Are they heavy?" he asks. "Really heavy!" Little Turtle answers cheerfully. "Then keep lifting!" Daddy turtle happily replies. At the athletics store, the air moves against the wind in ways that seems to violate physics, but nobody notices. Blades of air whicker about.

Sometimes my comics are very directly what happened to me today. Well, everyone, I'm proud to announce, I got the last Hello Kitty x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toy from the McDonald's promo here in Canada. Sadly, we only get 8 of the 12, but I guess that's going to have to be good enough for me.
A round wheeled vehicle trundles over an alien looking landscape. "Right there! Lock it in!" shouts a voice from inside. "Locked," comes a more meek voice. A robotic arm emerges from the vehicle, aiming for a red blob on the ground with eyes (the blob, not the arm). Inside the vessel we see Agent Pickle admiring the new blob as it loads in, with Specialist Yarn piloting. "We've finally acquired the elusive crimson specimen," Agent Pickle coos. Yarn checks his console and notes, "Sample secured, sir." Over to the other side of the room, we see Agent Pickle admiring a vast collection of other types of blob creatures, each a different hue. They are organised by spectral colour, including a black and white one at the top. "Now what?" asks Yarn. Nodding in satisfaction, Agent Pickle says, "Now we can do whatever we want. I just needed the full set. Put it in storage." Something peers from behind the jars in front of a scratched up wall.

I don't have to go to school, but a bunch of people I know do! And I'm so sorry for you. But you get to be with friends, so that's good. When you're an adult, friends become slim pickings! Treasure it while you have it.
Gerald and Trevor find themselves in a classroom. Gerald asks, "Where are we?" Trevor looks down at Gerald and just says, "School." "But we were on break! What happens now?" bemoans Gerald. "Breaks end," comforts Trevor. A large dimetrodon walks into the classroom and pronounces himself the teacher, Mr. Glue. Peater the pea asks from his seat, "Are you qualified?" Without missing a beat, Mr. Glue answers, "Barely," then continues, "Turn to page 17!" Jenny the bok choy puts up her hand and notes that they haven't got any textbooks to flip in. Mr. Glue swings by with a stack of mostly blank paper and says, "Then you'd better start photocopying!" A small fuzzy tail appears to whisk about in one of the desks. The stack of papers held by Mr. Glue bears a faint emblem of the Saurians. Gerald wears a red backpack, while Trevor seems to just suspend a blue one beside him, not having any arms to work with. The audience is invited to speculate on how Trevor conveys his backpack in the comments.

August is closing and September is rolling right into my face like an unexpected but completely predictable steam engine. Ouch. I'm not ready.
Peater and friends are gathered on a grassy path discussing the imminent end of summer. "We only have a few days left of our vacation," cried Peater. "We're not getting maximum enjoyment out of our time!" bemoans Zaire the eggplant. Jenny throws up her hands, phone in hand, "I wasted a whole week when I could have been wasting it properly!" Peater tries to rally the group with ideas. "Keep it together guys! We're either going zip lining or go karting!" Just then, Rachel the turnip leans in with her laptop, "I'm reviewing last year's notes so I'm ready for this year's lessons." Peater and some of the others squint at her. "Why are you even here," Peater asks. "I'm using Jenny's hotspot," she cheerfully responds. Jenny glances down at her phone in surprise and mumbles, "That's still on? Oops." In the distance, two go karts can be seen racing around with a brontosaurus in one and a T-Rex in the other. The final panel is trailing smoke from off-screen, possibly due to some poor driving skills on the part of the Saurians. Rachel's laptop sports a two-leaf logo, which is the brand logo for Leaflight, the ecofriendly low-energy computer company, currently struggling to transition to photosynthesis based power systems. Tommy the button mushroom is there as well, but he's just gawking and not really doing anything worth putting him in the credits for.

Kids love bugs. I think they're pretty neat too. Semi-uncontained bugs in a moving vehicle however, not as much. Completely uncontained in a vehicle, minor disaster chance!
Little Turtle walks into the house holding something in his hands. He calls out to his mom, "Mom, look!" From another room, his mom in a harried voice yells, "I'm busy, sweetie! Whatever it is, just leave it on the kitchen counter and I'll have a look later." Mommy turtle later finds Little Turtle relaxing on the bean bag chair with his tablet to check on him. "Did you see it?" asks Little Turtle expectantly. "No, there wasn't anything there," answered Mommy turtle. A bit disappointed, Little Turtle remarks, "Oh. It might have walked away." With a sudden spike of dread and adrenaline, Mommy turtle leans in and demands, "WHAT WALKED AWAY?!" A bookshelf can be seen in the second panel with a handful of tomes stacked hurriedly and a box on the lower shelf. A significant amount of empty space is left there, which suggests either the turtle family is good at de-cluttering or the artist couldn't be bothered to fill the shelf with detailed doo-dads.

I'm doing something very new for me and joining a big charity drive to support the TeamWater charity! Details are at teamwater.org
Two time agent dinosaurs are riding in a large airship with a TeamWater logo on the side. Agent Baseball, the stegosaurus, notes how strange it is that they have to haul water thousands of kilometres when the residents could just use the faucet to get water. Agent Clock, a triceratops, frowns and turns to him. "Are you dumb or just uninformed?" Their vessel can now be seen to be flying over a featureless desert. Dropping off their cargo of a single massive water canister to a family of lizard-like creatures below, Agent Baseball happily replies, "Can't it be both?" The baby lizard thing looks particularly pleased. The two parents carry large containers to collect the water to carry back to their homes. Uncle lizard stands atop the canister to turn the wheel to open it. A very prominent TeamWater logo, from the teamwater.org charity, is emblazoned on both the plane and water canister, in the hopes of getting readers of this comic to look it up and find out why it's intruding on this usually very non-Earth-based comic.

I can't claim to be a super-snek fan myself, but I know of some who crave that life on the edge and sneks seem to be that special spicy pet that gives them that. They do have cute little heads though.
Jenny the bok choy and Claire the beet are at a pet store in the snake section. Jenny is very excited to look at the snakes pointed at a black one. "Isn't this one adorable?" Claire looks nervous and says, "It looks dangerous." A staff member with a ladder walks by to open the top aquarium to bring out one of the larger snakes. "No, this one's harmless. I really want a venomous one," says Jenny. "What about a bunny?" Claire suggests. The staff wraps the large snake around Jenny's shoulders (such as a bok choy might have). Terribly excited, Jenny exclaims, "No danger, no fun!" Claire gawks in fear at the large serpent and cowers back, "That one looks like it could strangle me!" Thinking about it, Jenny gets a bit happier at the thought. "Oh, yeah! A bit. So cute!" she says. A small mushroom staff member can be seen walking along the top of the enclosures with a (relatively) large sac. One of the snakes in another aquarium is slowly ingesting a brightly coloured nutrition jelly apple. A small green snake is happily probing its aquarium for an escape route. The bottom right aquarium has a black snake (the first cute one) and is slithering around in the hopes something new has appeared in its enclosure, which only happens on Wednesdays.

Two young octopuses stand on opposite sides of the panel, each under the shade of a tree. Bright sunlight cuts through between them and fills the open field around them. Gerald the octopus calls out, "Hi, Clementine!" The other one, Clementine (surprise!), says "Hi, Gerald!" Clementine shouts, "Are you coming this way?" Gerald stands up taller so he's easier to hear at such a great distance of 3 metres and says, "I'd like to!" Then he gestures to his head, saying, "Wish I had a hat like yours!" At this point, the captions realise they should have noted that Clementine is wearing what looks like a circus tent shaped umbrella hat, capable of housing six octopus her size. She frowns, saying, "I don't think it would look good on you!" The girl is proud of her creation, being a daily new hat maker, today's using a week's worth of materials. In the distance, Charlie the carrot tries to hop across the open meadow with no shade, but collapses mid-field with steam coming off him, his leaf browning in the light. There are no clouds in the sky nor other foliage or other grass in the scene. Clementine's umbrella casts a shadow beyond her tree shadow and the front edge of her hat glares with bright sunlight, demonstrating the effectiveness in combating the malevolent photons. One of the leaves in the left tree is not neurodivergent.

Someone told me to draw this idea so here it is! I can't say no to ideas, right? Was that an option? It's relatable, but not to me, because I always rush past these stations. Making eye contact with them is too risky. I might have to slightly smile and nod.
Mommy turtle approaches the free samples counter at the store and takes a pink pastry, gushing over how wonderful they are. A sign on the table notes that there is a limit of one per person. A gentleman next takes a sample and thanks the attendant. A young turtle then walks up and timidly asks for one. The attendant smiles and hands the young boy a pastry. Some distance away from the counter, mommy turtle collects her husband's and son's pastry samples for herself. "Do you think they'd notice if you wore a hat and went back?" she asked her husband. A grandfather turtle can be seen approaching the sample counter. Other shoppers are in the background, milling about the store. In the third panel, almost imperceptible to sighted readers, is a faint band of light without a source.

Specialist Yarn runs into the Saurian Discreet Poster Exchange room where Agent Pickle and Agent Rex are hanging out. "Have you guys watched KPDH yet??" Yarn asks breathlessly. "What's that?" Agent Pickle asks nonchalantly. "Huh?" mumbles Agent Rex, holding a large sheet of paper. "Killer Pterodactyl Dino Heroines! It's the best movie EVER! You have to watch it!" Yarn exclaims excitedly. "Maybe later," Pickle says. "Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention , Yarn," Rex says politely. After Yarn leaves, Pickle turns to Rex and says, "I can't believe he only just found it now." "Watching it later?" asked Rex conspiratorially, revealing his signed KPDH poster. "Ninth time's a charm!" says Agent Pickle excitedly. A Saurian logo adorns the furniture and walls of the room. Light scratch marks can faintly be seen by the main door to the room and under Agent Rex's desk. Agent Pickle has been tinkering with a tiny remote controlled car, which is a SUV for the mushroom people.

I wish my ice cream cones were as complex as character creators in RPGs. Ice cream skins would be awesome. Edible ones. It's a brilliant idea. Somebody do it please. In my area.
Brock the bok choy is staffing the ice cream store counter when Gerald the little octopus squiggles up. "What flavour would you like, little guy?" he asks. Gerald points at the bright pink and orange swirl. "Swirly one!" Gerald exclaims. Scooping that up, Brock then asks, "And what do you want on top?" Gerald leans over and taps the vanilla. "Ice cream!" Brock scoops a second scoop, then asks, "Ok, and?" Gerald thinks, then says "Blissful optimism!" Brock thinks about it a moment, but being a highly trained ice cream scooper, he dishes out a final bit of sprinkles on the top scoop that forms a smiley face. Gerald takes it with glee and thanks Brock. Peater and Ashley have queued up while Gerald was taking his sweet time. Earlier, Logan the potato was hopping out with his own cone, a single butterscotch scoop wearing a top hat, bi-monocles, and a moustache. Very fancy. Ho-ho! A female carrot can be seen in the window paying for parking and a bird with main character energy alights atop a car outside in the last panel.

Hey, hey! New idea for a chat driven water gun tower defense game just dropped! Save the garden from ravenous bunnies and/or squirrels! The boss level is a skunk.
Two mushrooms appear beside a flower garden. Maisie, a small white mushroom, asks the other, Angela, a tall orange mushroom with a thin stalk, what she's working on. Angela happily answers that it's something Maisie will love. She describes how Maisie has been losing all the flowers in her garden. To defend them, she's rigged up a series of small towers with little water pistols mounted on top with a webcam aiming along the barrel. A web audience controls each tower and can shoot at any approaching critters, many of whom can be seen nervously approaching the turrets. Maisie is delighted by Angela's work, but she's holding some folded mail, dense with text and some numbers at the bottom circled in red. "Did you pay that overdue water bill?", she asks. Angela looks up distractedly and says, "I was literally going to do that right after this." She is meanwhile patching the hose and planning out an extension to the system for dealing with night attacks in low visibility. Night vision? Thermal sensors? Should the water guns have different firing modes? Mist, spray, jet, and power wash? In the distance, a crab appears atop a rock, menacing the buds.

Congratulations to everyone graduating this year! Thinking back on my own graduation, I don't envy anyone the uncertainty of this era with the amount of rapid transformation we're facing. But it's you that will both have to deal with it and shape it. Please shape it well.
The turtle family sits in an auditorium watching a graduation ceremony. Daddy turtle looks on happily, but Little Turtle seems to be sad and near tears. Mommy turtle asks him why he's sad. Walking out of the hall after the ceremony, Little Turtle says it's because he's going to have to leave. "You are?" Mommy turtle asks. "When I get older and graduate like them." Quickly turning to stop Little Turtle, she kneels down and gives him a big hug. "Oh, no, no, dear. You don't have to go anywhere." Daddy turtle runs back from listening to some other graduates and excitedly calls out to them, "That kid is going for a robotics degree! Thats' so cool!" Various other turtle graduates and families mill about in the background, getting food, gifting bouquets, and trying to find their friends for a picture. Only a couple of them in the second panel are properly drawn, because it would have taken too long to draw a hundred turtles and who really needs to see that many background characters in so much detail? Probably 17 people. If they write me a strongly worded letter, I'll consider feeling moderate regret.

I try to avoid getting caught by those door-to-door people and recently got snagged and couldn't escape. But I was very tempted to do this.
A small pterodactyl rings the door of a blue dinosaur named "Yarn" who answers. The pterodactyl asks if he would be interested in a free quote for window cleaning. Yarn says no, which prompts the little pterodactyl to start walking away. "Wait, wait!" calls Yarn urgently. The pterodactyl turns back confused, "But you said..." Yarn puts his arm around the guy and pulls them back towards the house. "I said I wasn't interested in getting a *free* quote!" In the distance, another pterodactyl can be seen talking to the neighbour, who by the shadow looks to be Agent Pickle! Who knew Yarn and Pickle lived right beside each other. Maybe it's company housing or a secret operation and these aren't even real houses, but covert spaceships! Or there might be other brontosauruses out there.

It's not raining particularly badly today, but it's nice to get it. But for characters that are the scale of my mushrooms, I'd imagine it's a bit more concerning. I was playing around with the idea of them being umbrella shaped already, but I couldn't Gary Larson my way into a funny comic.
Anita the mushroom, holding a pink umbrella, leaps from mossy patch to mossy patch, avoiding a torrent of water. Her friend, Alice, trips and breaks her umbrella. Alice tells her to go on without her, the waters are rising too fast. Anita acknowledges her offer and happily accepts it. "Okay! Good luck!" Noticing a leaf floating by, Alice tries to use it as a boat, calling on Anita to wait for her, but Anita is already long gone. Meeting up with Tommy the button mushroom on the other side, he asks where Alice is. Anita breaks the terrible news, that she didn't make it. Alice's leaf slowly floats up behind them as she delivers this information and she happily calls out to them. Anita looks forlornly at the ground, saying that she can sometimes still hear her voice. Tommy is wearing a yellow rain cap and yellow rain jacket, both of which make him look cute, but very much unable to defend anybody from a bear attack. Not that bears would attack mushrooms, mostly on account of their historic friendship after the "lost remote control" incident.
