Looking up after a lovely dinner a couple of nights ago in Harvard Sq, this lighted tree caught my eye. Weird color distortion and pixel bloom made the view more interesting!

As Ta-Nehisi Coates asked Ezra Klein about the Charlie Kirk piece, "Was silence not an option?”
Bluetorial-Jim Watson

I met Jim Watson a few times but did not know him well. However, I was greatly influenced by his book “The Double Helix”. He was a complicated human being with some very, very bad features, but some good contributions.

What follows is my personal perspective.

Wow!! I was internally whining about Trossard, and what a finish!!! #Arsenal
November 8, 2025 at 7:11 PM
That finish by Saka was much more difficult and amazing than the freaking NBC commentators are letting on in their Sunderland worship. Go #Arsenal!
November 8, 2025 at 6:53 PM
It's mystifying why #Arsenal have gotten so poor at open play. With the likes of Eze, Saka, Trossard, Rice and Zubimendi, they should be cutting through the staunchest defense. While I'm happy about set piece successes, I think critics do have a point about reaching a ceiling there & becoming dull.

After the torture of Bobby Jindal, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Kash Patel, and even fricking Ro Khanna, what a relief and joy to have a righteous south Asian like Mamdani light up the horizon.
