THFC, but also very anti-nonsense. people are upset & suffering ...and resistance grifters are exploiting the most vulnerable and separating them from needed monies and should be called out

Here are my Tottenham talking points, including the fascinating little things happening around Thomas Frank in the dugout, Savinho transfer hope, why Frank shouted at Djed Spence and Brennan Johnson and why Spurs must back the Dane. football.london/tottenham-ho...

Seeing a lot of Spursy angst over Paz...

...and I don't get it. Was ALWAYS going to be the longest of long shots. But they took their shot. 70m was the amount identified as being in the area where it would either force a sale or force RMA to commit to him.

They chose the latter. Fair enough.

this is what grifting looks like. 100% in favor of taking down billionaires, oligarchs, fascists and authoritarians.

but this is the very definition of grift

Lo Celso might be the obvious replacement for Maddison, but Ali Gold suggesting this AM that Kulusevski might fit that role as well (and thus give some run to Alejo Velez on the right side of the front line.)

Bentancur and maybe even Bissouma might be able to fill in as well.

Reading between the lines a bit, I'd expect Spurs back line at Wolves to be Porro, Dier, Davies and Royal....with Ashley Phillips and Alfie Dorrington at least on the bench, if not Phillips possibly getting a starting look?

Ange's presser:
1. Van De Ven definitely out until February at the least (I'd expect March, honestly.)
2. Madders out until at least January
3. Richy done until mid-December
4. Davies back, Porro fine.

Yep.

And as ever, when team physios mentions strains or sprains: a sprain or strain is a tear.

It'd be a miracle for sure.

Unfortunately, Paul O'Keefe reported later in the day that VdV was having his MRI put off 'til Friday now, which implies that there is a great deal of swelling and inflammation at the point of injury.

I'll be deliriously surprised if Micky plays a match before Feb.
I mean. He couldn’t. Could he??

If Spurs keep this up, they're gonna rename The Ewing Effect and call it the Harry Kane Effect.

Throughout the start of Spurs amazing season, have heard a persistent narrative that Spurs only win given a perfect set of match circumstances.

Today (yes, against Luton), things went pear-shaped, yet playing 10 men for 45 min they popped in a winner and looked comfortable for most of the 2nd half.

Here are my Spurs player ratings after they went top of the Premier League table with a 10-man display that they made look comfortable for long periods. The centre-backs in particular were superb.

Ange had to manage a much different sort of game than I would imagine he expected to, but showed that he knows how to do this even down a man.

Seems like he might know a thing or two about tactics and how to manage a match, eh?
October 7, 2023 at 1:35 PM
Whew. What a win. Down a man for a half, figured out a way to get it done.

And the Oldheads came on (Hojbjerg first, but then Skippy and Davies too) and did a fine job of keeping Luton from getting anything of much danger going on. #COYS

Per @alasdairgold.bsky.social, both Guiglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie have been called up to the Italian squad for the upcoming international break.

Spurs put one in late by Owen Gohel, and take the 3 points! What a signing that lad has been.

RED CARD FOR JONES.

Well now.
September 30, 2023 at 4:57 PM
Liverpool have been more dangerous here early. Vicario doing Vicario things to keep it level for the time being.
September 30, 2023 at 4:54 PM
Wait. Ali Gold is on Bluesky? I think that means I'm almost fully done with the shitty bird site...
September 24, 2023 at 8:29 PM
Relatedly: has any Premier League era club ever scored 8 goals against another side, scored by 8 different players?
September 24, 2023 at 5:35 PM
Seems a good chance Paul Heckinbottom will be the first manager voted off of Premiership Survivor Island this season, and after that dreadful display of his in postgame interviews last week, I won't be particularly said about it.
September 24, 2023 at 5:34 PM
Also, Micky Van De Ven was world class today, and any supporters with even a smidge of lingering doubt on Vicario should put that anxiety to rest. He was massive today.
September 24, 2023 at 3:08 PM
Now it's pins and needles time on Madders and whether that was just a minor knock or something else. Seemed to be moving well, but...
September 24, 2023 at 3:07 PM
Spurs will be happy to share the points at the Emirates today. Last season, Spurs looked to be 2 or 3 (or more) transfer windows behind their rivals, at minimum. Today, they showed they can play them evenly on their home turf.
September 24, 2023 at 3:04 PM
Oh, and DUH.

Bryan Gil. Natural left wing. If there was a time for the lad to step up and be counted, surely that time will be in the next few months. He is quite the x-factor here.
September 20, 2023 at 5:46 PM
Johnson can play RW, but that's also Richarlison's best position other than in the center. Johnson's only played sparingly at LW, and though technically Richy can play there, he's looked a bit lost when pressed into duty there for us.

Solomon signing on a free looks huge right now.
