I was thinking earlier about how when Mt St. Helens erupted in 1980, it was earth shattering and destructive, but eventually the wounds healed to a new normal.
I feel like this is like my coming out. When it happened, it changed everything and destroyed some relationships. Now it's just who I am.

the hardest part about being trans is being forced to accept that your family probably kinda sucks, whereas if you're cis you can likely tolerate only seeing your lead-poisoned uncle a few times a year because "oh he's family". we don't really get the comfort nor convenience of cognitive dissonance.

I think the one thing that liberals and the remaining sane conservatives should be able to agree on: Steven Miller is an evil asshole.
If we can we at least agree on that, maybe work our way out and find ways to fix this mess together?

My idea for a constitutional amendment is that if there's a shutdown, automatically everyone in the house, the senate, and the president... All of them are automatically ineligible for reelection.
There should be a rule- if one party controls the House, Senate, and President, and they allow the government to shut down, they’re all fired and we have snap elections to replace them.

Has anyone else noticed a strange uptick in misgendering even from allies and in normally affirming spaces recently?
There are places that have only seen me as me for years, they didn't know me pre transition and I've never been misgendered there until recently.
Or is this just a me thing?
