Part of true redemption imo is learning to accept the fact that not everyone (or anyone at all) is going to forgive you for your past actions, especially your mistreatment of others, regardless of how genuine your attempts to be better are. (1/3)

Thats an awful take-away. Redemption doesn’t mean everyone will or even should forgive you, if your primary motivation for doing good is so people will absolve you of your past, you’re doing it for the wrong reasons.
