I am really struggling with Black Grail in Trench Crusade. IDK if this is a skill issue but going wide, with one knight, a couple of specialists, and a bunch of thralls did not produce success for me. Got no diffed by wrath court

everyone remembers what happened to Isabel Fall.
I think we lost some work because authors were afraid to show their weirdnesses, rough edges, to ask uncomfortable questions.
We can debate all day about who got cancelled and whether or not they deserved it, but one thing I have noticed is that a lot of queer YA written from ~2019-2022 has a kind of sterile after-school-special vibe where you can just tell they sanitized the fuck out of it to appease the Twitter hivemind

This is probably my most prolific miniature painting year since 2022. That's not saying a lot, I'm still wracked with burnout, but I got a couple of individual models done that I'm real proud of and I could conceivably finish up a Trench Crusade warband by year's end.

checking in on Exalted 3rd Edition, "this new Infernals book probably won't glorify CSAM and make the characters complicit in it" is nice but in order to get me to care about Infernals you'd have to go back in time and castigate the setting writer for the 2e book

crowdsourcing wisdom for a friend: he's tried Villainy Inks and they seem to leave an unwanted glossy finish half the time. He thins down the enamel paint and shakes them thoroughly with agitators, but still no joy. what else could be done? are these just bad paints?

we're getting smaller games/worse graphics whether we like it or not because all the money is funneling upward into the worst most tasteless people on earth to make rotting legacy franchises with 6 year dev cycles. they aren't even good but if you don't buy them there's a recession
