I know it seems crazy but I recently bought a typewriter and have been writing more since. No distractions, physically gratifying, and much cheaper than these. It helps that it’s in its own spot and creates a distraction free space for writing.

Some AI art is actually quite “good” and can absolutely pass as the real thing. I think the consequence of this is that physical art is going to enjoy pride of place as art whose provenance is not in question. In this vein, I have also recently purchased a typewriter. IRL stock is going up.

Little things add up. I’ve always wanted to paint more, so I started with acrylic on little 4” x 4” canvases from a craft store. They are small enough to not be daunting but painting them has been crazy fun. I’m building up a tiny gallery slowly but surely.
