@ndrummond.bsky.social Have to ask... what do you think to Trump's speech saying NATO members should spend 5% of GDP. No way UK could raise that... nor sure what it was in 1980s (4%?) But surely even 3.5% would mean a massive uplift in infrastructure we would need.

So Trump has said NATO should spend 5% of GDP on defence.... the US spends approx 3.8%.... so is the US going to spend more?
