Pedro Sanchez, a pioneer of agroforestry, has sadly passed away.

By using trees to restore soil health and replenish nutrient stocks, he helped farmers across the Global South achieve sustainable livelihoods and food sovereignty. An incredible legacy indeed.

If you call it a “male immaturity epidemic,” a very different set of phenomena come into focus, as this thread shows
I'm starting to wonder how much "the male loneliness epidemic" is just straight and bisexual women identifying low-effort, mean, and incompetent men and choosing not to date, marry, and tolerate them anymore

Urbanists and Agrarians have more to gain from collaboration than division. How can they form a united front?
Urbanists and Agrarians are Natural Allies
Agrarianism, as an ideology, seeks a world of thriving rural communities, farms in control of their production practices, widespread land ownership, and populations deeply rooted in the land.

-The only thing you should treat like calories is added sugar

-The only thing you should treat like protein is fiber

A while ago, I wrote about the future of Kernza and perennial grain research. A concern I voiced was that, as grain yields increase, the plant would move from investing resources in roots and biomass in favor of seed yield, denuding the plants ability to curtail erosion and improve soil health. (🧵)
