My son is back from Peru, and I got to hear the almost-finished song that will probably be the new album's first release. It's so beautiful I had tears in my eyes (and a big smile on my face). Apparently the album is going to be somewhat more rock-y than the first one, Lila. Serious drums!

I think the Fascist-in-Chief made the app store remove this (Ice Block), but I still have it. Does anyone know if it's still used/useful? The Goon Squads have only been around a little in nearby towns, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time, so I'd like to be able to warn people. #fuckice

I thought maybe this might help some people. Someone gave him to me years ago, and I love to look at the peace and quiet joy in that face. It's something to aspire to when such things seem impossible.

Christmas Eve photos, taken as I walked home from dinner at my ex-husband's place with his girlfriend (who gave me a vinyl Alice Coltrane album!) & our son. I tripped in front of the ER and fell while taking one; I felt stupid but it was Christmas Eve & no one was around to notice. No harm done. :)
