The Massachusetts "High Tech" Council spent millions promoting this year's radical anti-tax ballot measure.

They deleted their list of members. They don't want us to know which corporations are trying to buy this law.

Having worked at a social media company, this is infuriating. At any actual job, Bondi would be fired.

The government should follow basic cyber security practices, not spy on every aspect of our lives.
Attorney General Bondi is spying on Members of Congress, going through our search histories of the Epstein Files. This goes against the separation of powers in this country and is totally unacceptable.

It is much harder to use our power without the protection of a union, but it is still our fingers on the keyboards.

I hope that the frustrated workers get in touch with @organizeworkers.bsky.social. You don’t have to be brave: we can all be brave together.
“The dissent I’ve seen is like a whisper. It’s a fear-based culture right now.”

Across the industry, workers describe a ‘fear-based culture’ and pressure to ‘fall in line.‘

It is too easy for these companies & CEOs to persuade our elected leaders the same way this ad tried to persuade us: by leaving out a ton of stuff.

I am running for Congress and I don’t have to rely on lobbyists to know how computer vision works.

Age verification is being rolled out. Even though it doesn’t work.

Why? Because big companies don’t want to have to compete against startups. Requiring the security theater makes it harder to get started.

Parents should be in control of how their children access the internet, not the government.

We’ve seen with other tools, like checklists, that even things that work well when incorporated into a culture can be counter-productive when imposed from above.

Without a culture of empowerment & more-than-sufficient staffing, patient care suffers.

The point I was trying to make was about the adoption of AI.

Workers aren’t being allowed to incorporate it in ways that lead to better outcomes, where they and patients would get the benefits. Instead, it is being imposed from the top down.

A Wakefield man was kidnapped five months ago.

His wife paid his bond, the government took her money, but he is still being held in a Texas concentration camp.

This is not immigration enforcement. The courts are moving slowly, when they intervene at all.

Congress has a duty to stop these horrors.

Humans + computers beat computers alone.

Unfortunately, capitalism & our tax code don’t care if things work well. They just want to not have to give people jobs.
Looking like the argument from assistive decision making is winning in the field with hundreds of thousands of real cases (assistive information adds something unique relative to just having another human review)

When we choose our politicians based on how many rich people they went to high school with, this is the result.

I have been on food stamps. I know politics isn’t a sport. It isn’t about scoring points on cable news. Politics is our actual lives.

But I am building the campaign funding on the fly.
The people we spoke to - across racial groups, and across geographies in Pennsylvania - told us they feel disconnected from our leaders and our political system, that politics looks like a game played by privileged people. They don't feel like politicians really care about them or their communities.

The Republicans still trying to protect their own are just the latest participants in that cover-up.
