NHA is working to understand how newly announced #tariffs will affect U.S. #hydro operations:
- 25% additional tariff on imports from Canada & Mexico
- 10% tariff on energy resources from Canada
The impact on Canadian/U.S. hydro remains unclear, but we are concerned consumer costs could increase.

Last week, Treasury and IRS finalized rules for the Section 45Y PTC & 48E ITC, effective today! The credits boost water power by ensuring eligibility for all forms, support new/upgraded projects, enable repowering under the 80/20 rule, and increase ITC value for incremental capacity! #hydro
