If you're going to the Reform press conference today, which I've heard is covering renewables, worth bearing in mind 2 things

1st there are at least 55 companies in Great Yarmouth who work in offshore wind, employing c500 people

Given current investment plans, we expect to see hundreds more.

Timely report ahead of Govt's Clean Power 2030 response (expected tomorrow) highlighting just how significant the Welsh, Scottish & N Irish Govts are for delivering renewables (look at wind 👇)

Cross-Govt collaboration has definitely been increasing, and we need it to continue

Buried in this sad story there's 3 lessons for the UK:

1️⃣ We can secure new jobs in onshore wind - Vestas are looking at refurbishing the factory to focus on onshore wind blades, maintaining 300 workers. This is only possible because of planned onshore wind development

Essentially, it's the first I've seen which really explores Reform voters - and actually, the ones Conservatives aim to win back are v pragmatic
