chart claiming that odysseus is a mean girl and mean girls is an adaptation of the odyssey comparing cady heron to odysseus. both are smart and strategic, educated in early life by a woman (mom for cady, athena for odysseus), both hang out with gay people (damian and janis for cady, ancient greek soldiers for odysseus), both are cursed to have their personality warped by the cruel and petty whims of those with more power than them, both decide that to survive they must become monsters like those that have wronged them, both alienate and discard their closest allies in pursuit of vengeance, both wield their enemies' own weapons against them and ultimately gain victory over them through spite and cunning tactics (regina's burn book for cady, poseidon's trident for odysseus, specifically in jorge rivera-herran's musical adaptation EPIC), both are punished for their hubris and regret choices they've made on the path to victory, and both have nice hair.
