Right now the Pacific NW (US) is long on rain and short on daylight. Keith, who helps with garden projects, wrangled the giant big-leaf maples leaf-fall. He’s spent 2 half-days, 1 more to go.

It’s been a subdued birthday. I spent the day with my dear friend Melody, who I met through our first greyhounds 23 years ago. It was perfect. We treated ourselves to a comfort food lunch followed by exquisite French pastries from Left Bank.

Well, a greyhound’s accoutrements sure do multiply like baby bunnies over his lifetime.
Today I’ve washed (4) dog bed covers, (2) car pillows, (1) car step cover, (3) belly bands, and (3) throw blankets.
I’ll donate this haul to the wonderful Olympia group, ConcernForAnimals.org.

So does anybody know why the reader icon 目 is disappearing from websites? I LOVE that thing! It allows one to adjust on-screen type to be readable by old or challenged eyeballs. What’s up?
