Could the Epstein Files possibly tell us anything we don't already know about our president's character? Consider so much of it "hoopla"--what the dictionary defines as "exaggerated publicity."
We need The Epstein Files to get the goods on Trump?? Like really...?
(heads-up: the graphic below won't make sense until you start reading the actual post beneath.)

I felt called upon to address what a lot of people were thinking, but not really talking about: what to do when someone you don't respect and actively dislike does a noble thing.
How do you hold it when a man who has created such antagonism and disruption deserves credit for bringing the war to an end and the hostages back?
Start by noting any resistance you might have to giving him credit.

You’ll understand here what I’ve really meant with the word psydbar—the psychological news underneath the “news news.”
Some thoughts on the young man who wanted Charlie Kirk dead.
In the same way I haven't wanted Trump's primary label to be fascist, I don't want Tyler Robinson's to be murderer. I do want to deeply understand, though, why he'd want to stop Charlie Kirk.

A reader has asked: "Nancy, Why would you call him immature and not a fascist?"

This required me to do a deep dive to the core of my truth about the human condition. You'll need to read a few grafs on human development, but I suspect the conclusion I come to is worth it. Let me know how it lands.
A reader has asked: "Nancy, Why would you call him immature and not a fascist?"
It's a reasonable question. And because it's so reasonable, I am asking readers to tolerate a temporary unsettled feeling that may come when someone presents a new way of looking at "the obvious."

Sunday thought: Is there a silver lining to these darkening clouds?
Maybe It's just as important to educate Americans to "Re-perceive" Trump as a non-adult...than to just "fight back."

"Vote Grownup!" would be enough if more people understood human development. There would be no need for a "diagnosis." It would simply be universally understood that that a 2-year-old who was still crawling had not yet reached the stage of walking upright.
"Vote Grownup!" would be enough if more people understood human development.
And that's the Democrats' wild card if they can distinguish between portraying maturity and arrogance.

That psydbar typewriter logo above goes with nancydreyfus.substack.com Let's stop giving so much attention to an infantile and malicious person and start investigating how over 70 million people were blind or uncaring of putting an extremely childish person in a grownup role.

That the current administration represents “the inner soul of the people,” is the real depressant. Predicted 105 years ago. 😢

Anybody have the same feeling watching Trump brutalize Zelensky that you had watching Derek Chauvin choke George Floyd? I did. In both cases we watched someone taking pleasure dehumanizing a virtually helpless human being. Shame on anyone who could even begin to condone such a heartless hazing.
