Our information diet is shaped by a tiny sliver of humanity whose job, identity, or obsession is to post constantly

Consuming too much of this diet can distort our perceptions, manipulate our emotions, and fuel intergroup conflict

On this July 4, liberate the field from cross-sectional “mediation analysis” - check out this new paper discussing an alternative. I bet it’s an instant classic. My sense is that folks continue bad practices bc they don’t know what else to do. This solves that

Not surprising, given what Ipsos has been documenting in its International Women's Day Poll. In 2024, 45% of men in Germany agreed that "we have gone so far in promoting women's equality that we are discriminating against men." That's only slightly less than the 47% of US men who agreed.

Americans often think the AfD’s rise signals people’s reactions to immigration. But imagine an anti-immigrant fascist party rises in West Virginia & Mississippi - where there are FEW immigrants.

Anti-immigrant politics is fueled by threat from media & politicians, not interactions with immigrants.
