Watched Eternity today, and I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought. It’s surprisingly funny and poignantly emotional by turns with a really fantastic cast. It made for a great date movie. Definitely worth watching.

At PT for my knee today, I was able to squat 190 lbs for 8 reps on my fourth set. It’s not where I once was, but it still feels good.

We’re getting a new bed frame and mattress next weekend. Since we’re getting them delivered, that of course means I have to deep clean the bedroom so that the delivery people don’t see how I really live. I want to get an A in delivery, which is both possible to achieve and normal to want.

Finished Peter Darling for the book club, and I enjoyed it more than I expected. It’s a very unique take on the characters from Peter Pan that I found unexpected and engaging. Enemies to lovers is not usually my thing, but I had fun.

It’s intermission for Hadestown and so far, it’s been absolutely incredible! It’s so much more powerful live.

Finished playing Stray (late to the party, I know). It’s not my usual game type but it was short enough to keep me engaged the whole time. It’s fun, contemplative, melancholy, and hopeful by turns with an interesting story. Plus I get to be just a menace of a cat knocking things off ledges.

Finished up The Murderbot Diaries #1 and I loved it. I was not expecting to identify this hard with a character called ‘Murderbot’, but here we are. Don’t know if I’ve ever encountered the trifecta of ace, agender, and autism rep in the same character before, which hit hard.

Just watched Frankenstein and it is a stunningly beautiful movie. The visual storytelling is top notch and the acting is superb. They do take some liberties with the story but then, Victor was always an unreliable narrator. As a fan of the book, I loved it.

I just came in second out of about 100 people at the Rocky Horror 50th showing! I went as Dr. Scott during Rose Tint My World (I’ll have to get someone to send me the picture). The stilettos were a huge pain up and down the stairs, but worth it.

It’s been 12 years since the last time I ate at Dirt Candy, and it is still as incredible as I remember. Hands down my favorite restaurant ever.
