It’s been 24 hours and my main problem with Bluesky is that the whole time I’m on the app, my brain serenades me with Ella Fitzgerald’s Blue Skies and it’s just far too cheerful when on repeat.

Mondays are great days for questioning the whole point of existence - Qui suis-je? Ou vais-je? Dans quel état j’erres?

I’m no longer writing poetry. My whole brain is focused on narrative prose and world-building minutiae. But the poetry wants back in and sprouts unexpected in the middle of a chapter with a song or a rhyme or even an epic ballad. Can a fantasy novel have too much poetry?
