So I'm not pro-military generally speaking but I don't really agree with antagonizing or bullying the National Guard. They have not yet been given any illegal orders, and I sincerely doubt they will follow them if given. Right now they're just being where they're told to be. They hate it.

I think there was a time in my life when the loss of my life might have been felt by some; but having become a chronic illness induced hermit, I've also effectively become anonymous and marginalized. I've had to come to terms with the fact that my inevitable absence will change nothing.

It's incredibly frustrating to constantly hear people speak on the topic of intelligence without understanding it or their own biases. People think AGI isn't close because gen AI is "bad at" human reasoning tasks. Do you realize AT ALL how much closer "bad at" is to AGI than "incapable of"?
