Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

Fascinating video on Steam trends, especially these statistics- of all the games released in Steam in 2024, just 2.5% had the "LBGTQ+" tag and 7% had the "female protagonist" tag. This is supposedly the political trend that's overwhelming and destroying gaming.

Well well well, if it isn't the obvious consequences every employee was saying would happen.
Return-to-office (RTO) mandates lead to abnormally high employee turnover, especially for female/more senior/more skilled employees.

It also takes significantly longer to fill these job vacancies after RTO mandates.

Sorry to put either of these faces on people's feeds, but if we make enough of these images and spread them around, do you think we can get inside Donald's head and break the two up?

Gods give me the strength to survive group therapy chit chat. In the span of two minutes the same kid asked me "if I have pronouns" and "if I live [several blocks away from a semi-affluent neighbourhood], why do I still have an Android"

Every year, billions of vehicles worldwide shed an estimated 6 million tonnes of tire fragments. These tiny flakes of plastic, generated by normal driving, account for 28% of microplastics entering the environment globally.

Heavy vehicles eg SUVs/EVs especially.

Poilievre's Conservative Party, per its members:

"Everybody is being watched. What we say, what we do, who we talk to. We're told not to fraternize with MPs from the other parties. And that's not normal.

Those who follow these rules are rewarded. Those who don't often have to suffer consequences."

I get that people are looking for a single thing to direct their anger towards, but aren't voter suppression, gerrymandering, + election fatigue all v present things that can also result in low support and turnout? I feel like "dem campaign bad" isn't invalid, but is like, a piece of the whole story
