Last night Film Noir Foundation’s NOIR CITY Film Festival started in Oakland. Here’s my cover designs for this year’s program. I also designed the program’s interior. I’m honored to work on this every year, thanks to the Czar of Noir Eddie Muller.

Muhammad Ali was born 84 years ago today here’s my original lithograph depicting Ali’s KO of George Foreman in 1974 to regain the Heavyweight Title. This piece is part of the permanent collection of Georgetown University Library.

I was 10 years old when I first saw this at Walden Books in Dadeland Mall in Miami. I asked my parents if I could buy it, the answer was no, too expensive. 50 years later, I just got my copy. First edition large format, hardcover, coffee table book.

RIP - Drew Struzan, legendary movie poster artist and the first to realistically capture a superhero. This 1976 Batman poster was mesmerizing when I first saw it. I reached out and spoke to Drew about it for my book THE BATCAVE COMPANION, unfortunately, in the end, I couldn’t fit it into the book.
