Our CPC has been stocking up on supplies to assist the vulnerable people they may encounter on the transit system and stations.

These cold weather items could help individuals survive the night & we’ll be one of many CPCs + local organizations keeping an eye out for our communities ❄️

Happy Halloween! 🎃 Earlier today, we set up by Coquitlam RCMP for a family-friendly Community Trick or Treat Event! 🍬🍭 We had so much candy to give away but also had plenty of safety reflectors for all the ghosts, ghouls & goblins who came by the plaza! Have a faBOOlous one, everybody! 🦇

Today, we had the pleasure of assisting the MVTP K9 Unit by acting role players for the training of K9s 🐾 These canines and their police handlers play an extremely important role in keeping the transit system and its surrounding communities safe, and we are always happy to lend a hand in training!

As days become shorter, pedestrians become more vulnerable. Nearly half (42%) of crashes involving pedestrians happen between October and January 📅

All month long, we’ll be out with ICBC & MVTP handing out reflectors to help keep everyone visible + safe on their travels 🌟

🚦This AM we had the opportunity to work with @vancouverpd.bsky.social Traffic Unit & @mvtp-cstpkwok.bsky.social to help spot distracted drivers + observe the interactions. Joined by @wechcpc.bsky.social, we assisted police with our keen eyes resulting in several tickets issued over 2 hrs.

Another day, another Safety Awareness Community Event! Happy to be stationed alongside multiple community safety partners at UBC’s Safety Awareness Week, providing info pertinent to safety on & off campus! We hope everybody took home plenty of useful tips (and swag!) today 😃 See you at the next one!

What a day at Car Free Day | Main Street! We spent the day getting to know the community, gave out Transit Safety tips, helped stamp so many Transit Passports & handed out countless K9 Tattoos!
