Congratulations are due to Alicia Johnson and Peter Hubbard for winning the Georgia PSC election with a whopping 60% of the vote!! Change is possible with the right message.

Watching and waiting to see what the GA Public Service Commission election results will be. The incumbents tried to sweep the election under the rug and even said publicly said they hope no one shows up to vote.

Shutdown day 27: I hope everyone is doing ok. Your existence is worth everything. Things will be ok eventually. I will be here with you through it all.

Shutdown day 21: Not a single member of my family has called to ask if we were ok financially.

Shutdown day 4: Since I still have to work, that also means traveling for work. Time to spend a few days preparing for being gone again.

Shutdown day 3: I have to sit here and work instead of joining my SO in Spain since any and all leave is canceled. Some of my friends are already have food stability issues.

Shutdown day 2: I didn't have the ambition to put up with the bus breaking down again in order to make the trek into the office. Going to touch grass.

As the shutdown begins, I remain one of the few who are still required to come into work.

I used to work for a fire marshal who didn't care about the community he worked for. He used to tell me, "I just want to be as lazy as possible until I retire." He approved things that would put the community in danger and didn't participate in EMA drills. The Texas officials remind me of him.

Oliver is trying his best, but pressure regulators are just too hard for him.

I'm still healing from a surgery from last week where the surgeon just reminded me in the post-op that they didn't remember the chief complaint that led to said surgery.

My cat wanted to remind me someone else still cares.

I want this to get out as far as possible. The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration is proposing deregulation and is open to public comment at: www.federalregister.gov/documents/20...

Don't let the industry be the only ones commenting.

The "politicals," as we call them, have decided that we should no longer worry about the cleanup of hazardous liquids because "we are not an environmental agency." Hope you guys like oil in your food and gasoline in your drinking water.

I was checking out of a hotel while on duty. The guy saw my emblem and said, "You must be one of the good ones, seeing as you still have a job." He then started laughing about those less fortunate. It's hard out there for federal workers. Some people don't care until something happens to them.

I work for a small agency that was once 600 people. We protect people from oil and gas pipeline disasters and hazmat cargo accidents. We will persevere for you. ❤️

My great-grandpa once said that if the economy collapsed again, to put some cash in a mayo jar under your bed. I appreciated the advice from a Depression Era survivor, but I don't like mayonnaise.

I decided to read the comments from a post my local news station did on the average cost increase Americans could see per year due to the tariffs. Now I'm sad. We seriously have a problem with critical thinking here.

Canada is out here paying for billboards in Atlanta. Your money will be better spent a little further outside of I-285. 😉 *hint, hint*

It was definitely nice to get out of the house and in a place with no cell signal for a bit.

My great-grandfather shot N*zis in the face with their own guns during WW2. Now, my own father can't be trusted with Anne Frank's location. Things are wild.

Several years ago, my Secretary of State was running for another office. I had moved a few months before the election. I went to the DMV to change the address on my license and checked the box to change my voter registration since I was still in the time frame to do so. 🧵

With all the unease in the department, I'm starting the process of getting my name out there. If I lose my job to the Fanta Facist, I will be a bigger thorn than AOC.

I don't consider myself red or blue, just for the people. I come from a long line of civil servants and have been a civil servant myself for several years. I take my oath to the people seriously and strive to do better for them. ALL OF THEM.

This is the first time Oliver and Marie have ever seen snow. Their little minds are broken, trying to figure it out.
