nothing like listening to other staff try to de-escalate a situation to realize how stupid and bad at our jobs we all are. like why can't adults learn to shut up !!! (me included!)

i've been a really shitty and absent friend this fall with settling into a new home/living situation with a kid there half the time/dealing with a lot of shit and i feel so terrible about it. i've never had my freeze response to stress affect relationships this much.

family led funerals are sooo much nicer than church dictated ones my god. side note: this IS the first time i've felt awkward being around my bf's ex wife since she knows his family better than i do but 🤷

the thing about getting blood tests every few months is that it sucks. i've been trying to get my triglycerides down but they went up instead :( and i haven't even gotten my testosterone level results yet which is the part i care about.

went to visit my parents after a shitty day and it kind of sucked bc sometimes my parents suck (esp my dad), but then i got to daydream with my bf about lego sets and where to put them in the house we will share in september so it's not all bad
