I’ve had a coworker grab my kuffiyeh and ask why I’m wearing it very recently so everyday I come to work now, I’m in a defensive/combative state.

Just wanted to share that I took last wed-fri off work b/c I just couldn’t be there. Yesterday when I returned, students on my caseload had left a collage of thank you notes and notes of appreciation on my desk. They don’t know why I was off, but clearly they knew I was not ok.

You’d think by now that people would understand that calling out western hypocrisy does not move westerners. They don’t care. And in fact, the ruling class has been consistent in its support for genocide. You scream hypocrisy only because you’ve bought their lies of international law.

The janitor is the only colleague at the entire school who reached out to me asking if me and all my family are ok. I don’t have family in Palestine anymore so we’re as good as can be, but it was nice of him. Tbh I prefer that the teachers didn’t reach out, as I’m sure we’re not on the same side.

A 2nd grader walked into school today airing his parents out. Nothing a mandated reporter would have to report, but oh boy was he making it clear to as many kids and adults as possible that he is not happy with them.
