Found another little gem. The memory card adaptor to get your PS1 & PS2 saves onto your PS3 😆

Doing a bit of decluttering and found some old treasures in the boxes in the loft. My first iPod from 2004 with its FireWire dock 🔥

Ever notice how Xcode's Accessibility Inspector app has the smallest window control buttons vs any other app? I've got Slack and Spotify in the background here and their buttons are significantly larger.

Everyone talks about how the Mediterranean diet keeps people alive for longer. No one mentions that the old folks are jacked from lifting cast iron cookware several times a day, every day.

Spent the weekend in Edinburgh enjoying the excellent Fringe festival. It’s always disappointing to be leaving because there’s so many more shows that I’d like to go to, but there’s always next time 😁

At what point does an energy provider think their “security” practices are better than those of financial institutions that can keep you logged for more than 6 months? Even HMRC does this better by only asking for a pin if a device has been restarted.

I feel like it should be criminal to disable the paste functionality in apps that require a long string of important numbers to be entered.

Finished reading @shaunalawless.bsky.social’s Gael Song trilogy + novellas. What a great start by a new author 📚
Now I’m eagerly awaiting for the next era in this series and wondering what I should read in the meantime 🤔

I attended a health check yesterday and found out that I’m 3cm taller than I thought for the last 20 odd years 😂

Trying to figure out if the free soundbar (LG USC9S) that came with the tv is a worthwhile upgrade to the bookshelf speakers I’ve got on my work desk being powered by SMSL AD18 🤔
The addition of the sub is tempting…

It’s great when sites make sure that rarer use cases work well.
Today I used 13 distinct gift cards when placing an order on John Lewis 😂

People thought iMessage to Android was a bad transition. I just moved a sim back to iPhone and an RCS conversation that got started on my Pixel6a continued on Android 🙃 That’s not where the sim is.

I've been trying to mess around with the Dell Monitor SDK writing a little command line tool (🤢) to help change the input that's used on my monitor, only to find that the SDK doesn't support my monitor 😭
Not even the SDK from the desktop app works - which works OK with the monitor.

Did Sonos just accidentally leak a product announcement via the iOS App Store release notes?
It mentions a “Support for Era 100 Pro” product, which is not something you can buy on their website.

Finished watching Arcane on Netflix.
What an excellent show. Loved the art style, the music, the way they used different animation styles to represent memories.
It’s based on the League of Legends backstory, but you really don’t need to know anything about that.

This is new.
This morning as my wife’s alarm was going off I said “Hi Siri, stop”. This usually works but today it failed. So I repeated the phrase again and to my surprise had my iPhone (and after a small delay the iPad from the office) respond with “Do you wish to stop the alarm on Wife’s iPhone?”

Quick tip: simple way to improve accessibility in the workplace is to make sure that documents that are created for internal distribution, conform to contrast guidelines from WCAG.
