I was so sorry to read of the November 26 death of off-road motorcycle racing star Malcolm Smith. He was 83 and had battled Parkinson's disease for two decades. Steve McQueen may have financed and had a major role in "On Any Sunday," but Smith was clearly the star of the Oscar-nominated documentary.
