She doesn't deserve it, she EARNED it. She worked for it. I know are expressing support and I'm not criticising, but I think it's really important to be explicit on the hard work good people like her put in.

It actually makes me cry hearing a woman, and a woman of colour, unapologetically say why she's the best for job. And she's right earned and continues to earn. I don't understand people who prefer anything other than people like her (smart, honest, hardworking, compassionate) to lead.

But misunderstanding Born in the USA is darker. They are using the song to claim American exceptionalism when it's the opposite. They thought this song was a sweet spiritual tune. It's out of touch but not in a nefarious way, no?

It's quite sweet, really, that kind of innocence! I don't think there was ever a time I didn't know what that song was about.

I hear you, but Canada is a stable democracy that would bolster EU cohesion and resilience. I completely agree that we should look to North Africa, Turkey, etc., but at the moment, Canada is a win. Plus it brings a Commonwealth nation in, which could help bolster 🇬🇧 realignment with the EU. Maybe

Fair and understood. I'm just stunned that any Jewish person would vote for an antisemite. I'm in no way casting aspersions. I mean, why is a South Asian woman married to and supporting Vance? People are complicated, but a nazi salute does seem an obvious red line.

I was just in Surfside, Fl. Couldn't believe the level of support for this guy in a Jewish community. It's absolutely heartbreaking.

Really? You should take a look at her book. She's interesting. I disagree with her on a lot, and have defo rolled my eyes in the past, but she's a smart and independent thinker. So, I care.

To be fair, when the EU has expressed an interest in building military capacity as a block, the US discouraged the move and encouraged continued reliance on NATO. What is happening is a betrayal of trust, not simply the EU not bothering.
