Fun Fact: Weighing in at 60 pounds, we recycled enough metal last year to make 33,334 Iron D trophies.

We wanted to give a special shout out to our collections team! It has been a particularly bitter few weeks but it has not slowed them down from completing over 200 stops a day across campus picking up recycling, Surplus, compost, & trash.

It was a cold & blustery tour but we had a blast giving the 2026 Eco Reps a behind-the-scenes look at how we manage campus waste! Eco Reps serve as ambassadors for sustainability and encourage environmentally responsible behaviors in the residence halls.

Sorting paper is so 2025! All paper can now be recycled together in the orange 'Mixed Paper' bins found across campus.

Potter Park Zoo will be collecting holiday lights to be recycled through the end of January! Proceeds go to fund their annual Wonderland of Lights.
