I made chicken parmesan and salad tonight. 1) I forgot how much I enjoy making healthy meals. 2) why is it called chicken parmesan when it doesn't have parmesan in it?

There's 8 inches of snow in my yard. My Midwesten Husband is all impressed. And I keep thinking about 1993 when we got 3 feet on April 1st.

Today I made Pàdruig's Dunkers from The Hebridean Baker's The Scottish Cookbook. I can't wait to have them with my tea tomorrow.

Oberon likes being snuggly... so he pulls my sweatshirt off the back of the chair and crawls inside to take a nice cozy nap. Mentioned to @ratcalledaj.bsky.social that maybe we should get him his own. And he said to give him one of the ones he kept from High-school that no longer fits.

I was preparing to be an @celticfc.bsky.social fan because Nance was transferred there. But after the way the fans and media have treated him and his family I hope with all my heart they get relegated. Absolutely disgusting behavior 💔.

When you have to take the ornaments off the tree earlier than planned because the new kitten is having wild zoomies that include trying to climb the tree and biting your toes, and having a wrestling match with her new older brother.

Spent last evening/ night in the ER, due to complications from the colonoscopy. Aside from being very anemic, over heated, extremely tired, and very cranky, I am okay. Andrew has made me two mugs of a greens soup for my dinner. Also I had my first and (hopefully) only ride in the weewoo wagon.

We've named her Beatrice after the character in Much Ado About Nothing. And she's got a clean bill of health from the vet. She still really prefers her little bed and litter setup in our 1/2 bath. She's batted a couple of pompoms under the door to Oberon and he sorta batted them back.

This is Smoke. She's been living in our wood pile for several months. Today when I was trying to coax her in to the house out of the cold, Hermia meowed and she came trotting right in. She's very clean with no flea dirt. She will go to the vet for a check up and then be up for adoption.

I know I'm getting older because im getting grumpy that people are complaining "the sun is a setting an hour earlier". Fall is when we go to standard time. Its not an hour earlier.
