Even though I had read The Long Walk by @stephenking.bsky.social more than once, I was not prepared for the movie’s ending. And also, “Wanna go for a walk?” is still my favorite line.

If we want our kids to engage in daily choice independent reading, then we need to provide them with books they actually want to read.

Reading and discussing entire books is more beneficial than reading out-of-context snippets and answering multiple-choice questions.
