As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Sheldon is trying to protect his buddy and fellow RI senator, Jack Reed, who absolutely needs and deserves a primary this cycle.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

"Keep" fighting.
They say things like this because they think you are stupid.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

The Washington Post editorial page is the perfect metaphor for America's legacy institutions. It's been lousy for ages, and now a billionaire kowtowing to Trump has made it much, much worse.

Agree, but large and growing income and wealth gaps are an important part of the context. The more you align politician salaries with those of elites, the more you separate their conditions from most people they govern.
Yes, higher salaries for electeds — but another reason to attack inequality!
ryan is right. people HATE hearing this. but it is just a matter of simple incentives. if you want a more representative legislature — and if you want a legislature more resistant to corruption — then you need to jack up the salaries. serving as mayor of NYC should net you a cool 500K *at least*
people hate hearing this but it's 100% true, creating a huge pay gap between political leaders, their staffs, and other elites is a recipe for corruption. of course the flip side of that is taxes on the rich should be jacked way the hell up

“Sandwich guy” tells me it was “heartening” to get so much support from his fellow Washingtonians but that he’s “not comfortable” with the “hero” narrative. I asked him if he thought DC residents were registering their dissent by finding him not guilty, he said “perhaps.”

Don't know about Korn, but William Daroff made his bones as a Republican political operative and has never been other than a piece of shit. And the Conference of Presidents has been a right-wing operation going back decades.
It's just the same old crap, aimed at a new target.

This is incredible. Zohran been pre-butting the antisemitism charge for over a decade!
Also, I love every single one of these wonderfully dorky kids.
Sourced from a friend of a friend who apparently went to the same high school as Zohran Mamdani: he was in his high school's Judaic Cultural Society. In case some people were concerned that his outreach to the jewish community was just temporary pandering, he's been an ally for decades!

BREAKING: After months of stonewalling by Starbucks, unionized baristas just voted 92% to authorize a ULP strike unless Starbucks finalizes fair contracts & stops union busting.

If forced, our baristas will strike in dozens of cities on November 13 – the company's busiest sales day of the year.
Starbucks unionized workers say they'll strike on Nov. 13 if coffee giant doesn't finalize contract
Union members say they are ready to strike on the chain's Red Cup Day if Starbucks doesn't finalize a contract with their union by then.

Media outlets love to write stories about how controversial Krasner's anti-carceral agenda is in Philadelphia, and then he wins every race by Assad-level margins.
He's very popular!!
just in: Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner is on track to win easily.

With roughly a quarter of the vote reporting, he leads Pat Dugan 81% to 19%.

Krasner already beat Dugan in the Dem primary... and Dugan kept running as the GOP nominee. (My write-up: boltsmag.org/2025-prosecu...)
