2021 | I had just started to be interested in drawing and that year I was watching Eddsworld, so I tried to replicate the style of the series and along with that came out these suckers, but every time I drew them I failed, failed miserably, so much so that in this one I had only done 2 pages, 1 I transferred to digital and the other was lost in the depths of my room... yeah I also didn't know shit about textual font and comic format so : | 2021 | I swear if I could go back in time, even if it killed me, I would put a bullet in my 15-year-old self's head. I bitterly regret every day having the idea to use (and watch) this damn cartoon made in the depths of hell. You can tell by the art style what it is. Anyway, I did about 3 pages, and in the end I gave up. I gave up because I realized how shitty the story of my comic was, and how wretched this cartoon was, and ESPECIALLY its fandom, disgusting. Seriously, what was I thinking? And no, I wasn't the kind of fan we're all used to seeing. I was one of the few who were innocent. I only realized the extent of the shit I'd dodged when I opened my eyes and realized I'd made no artistic progress whatsoever. Man, what a shitty time 2021 was. End of 2022~end of 2023 | Man, how I love Gravity Falls, when I completely abandoned EVERYTHING related to the 2021 style, I had completely abandoned the idea of drawing, I was at rock bottom artistically, until a school friend of mine bought Gravity Falls Diary 3. I had watched it in full years before, but I had never really noticed the gold mine that was in front of me, but anyway, my colleague had asked me to translate for him (I knew a little English) and at the same time translate the codes (I had no idea that someone had already done this, I managed it through pure determination and idiocy and because of "Rick was here"), while I translated I was looking at the art and HOLY SHIT WHY I HADN'T NOTICED HOW COOL IT WAS, so I went to look for the art of the cartoon itself (Another friend of mine had suggested I use Pinterest) and then it began, I studied the scenarios, color and characters (all very poorly studied by the way) and I started implementing them in my drawings and ended up putting them in my characters, from that one came out about 6 pages. I just didn't continue because 2023 was the last year of school and I needed to study as much as possible to be able to enter college (by the way, I managed to do it and I'm still standing today), so I had to leave the story for a while... Oh yes, the Lost Legends comics helped me a lot too, it took me a while to read this one but it was worth it, each style is beautiful. Early 2024 | As much as Gravity Falls had helped me a lot, I knew I needed to be more original and that I also needed characters with a unique trait, so I took what I had learned and tried to change my characters' traits. While looking for references on Pinterest, I found a FNAF comic that had the little girl who possessed the puppet Charlotte (Funny thing: I love this name because most of the fictional characters I saw with this name always had the characteristic of being super nice and kind, the redhead in the image would have this name, the blond in the other image is her brother and is called Lloyd, so with that I would make them have the nicknames Lloyd and Lotte. I had to abandon the idea because I realized that there were already many Charlottes in fictional stories, so taking advantage of the FNAF momentum, I stole the name of the one who possessed G. Freddy, Cassidy, and then I left the redhead as Cassidy, nicknamed her Dee Dee and gave her the joke of always stretching any word ending with a D sound to Dee), I liked that art style so I studied the proportions from the comic and with that I modified and applied them to my characters, they had turned out quite cute and decent, but I needed something of my own so I started to change more and more until I found the perfect balance between cartoonist and... uhh... seriously I think, YES One Piece also had a hand in this too but I won't elaborate :P . And yes, I'm trying to continue this comic, I didn't spend about 7 years writing for nothing...
