The children have made a Winter Wellbeing Toolkit. The basket contains things that make them feel cosy, loved, safe and relaxed. “H” made a sign to put on our basket.

This was such a lovely interaction. P was observed ordering his number stones, and R noticed that the task became more challenging as the numbers went beyond 10. She naturally took on a teaching role, offering choices without giving the answer, and instead guiding P by suggesting strategies.

We worked as a team to create a castle. C decided to call it ‘Christmas Castle’ and made a sign for it. The castle included a drawbridge, guards, and turrets. When I asked C about his choice of name, he explained, ‘We’re learning about seasons, and it has winter trees at the back.’ 🥰

Children to read sentences or words and match them to the picture. This is something that can continue at home. You could use cvc words as well as those common words.
