The constant use of migrants as a political football is a self inflicted illness for Britain, creating an unhealthy society. The UK is built on immigration. We have always needed it, it has made us who we are, it’s our lifeblood. We need to start seeing migrants as us. Not them.

I saw Edddie Izzard doing one of the many marathons in Nottingham. Walked to intercept and cheer. Didn’t know what to say or do so clapped a bit. Drove to a later point to rectify matters. Second attempt equally dreadful. Dumbstruck. Met Lizzie at Heathrow and had a lovely chat. So that was ok.
Twitter is doing “best celebrity interactions” discourse so we should do WORST ones
not necessarily like that they were a jerk, just that the interaction itself was a fail on some level
like one time Robert Sean Leonard walked past me and I short-circuited so badly I spilled guacamole on myself
