Absolute sweeps all over the country, and this morning I wake up and find our city has elected its mayor to a third term so he can continue his mission to prepare our region for the Climate Wars.

Being in a crossover nexus between politics and Twitch streaming while trying to maintain a positive outlook used to have me feeling despair but I've seen multiple streamers breaking the barrier and opening up about the current state of affairs in the US and it's refreshing.

Just an advisory for people going to #TwitchCon San Diego this year, the Saturday of TwitchCon, Oct 18th, there will be protests part of a national day of protests about a mile north of the convention starting in the morning. The last major protest rally in June drew about 60k people.

Finally deleted twitter. Kept it around for the sake of holding onto my name and account, but it's nothing more than a violent cesspool of hate, bot accounts, and some of the worst takes possible. There is no justification for maintaining an account there.

What I'm learning from this thread and article is that people are taking a single quote and appearance by a public figure, reading a single point of view, and making up a story to attach to a public figure they already had no intention of supporting just so they could publicly justify why.
